Description
Ārpus Brewing Co. is an independent microbrewery, founded in 2017 by craft beer geeks from Latvia. We brew what we love - juicy hop forward ales, fruity sour beers and bold imperial stouts - and we’re proud that Ārpus Brewing Co. is voted as #1 brewery in the Baltic States on Untappd.
We chose Latvian word Ārpus for the name of our brewery, as its meaning reflects the types of beers we brew - outside the box, beyond the mass made lagers, beers with overwhelming flavours and aromas for people brave enough to step out of their comfort zone.
The brewery is located just outside Riga (Latvia), equipped with a 10hL brewhouse and 20hL fermentation vessels. Our beer is packaged in 440mL cans and KeyKegs, then stored in a cold room to keep it fresh longer.

6/10
Fruity, citrus, dry, sweet, juicy, pineapple, really bitter, some hop burn, acidic even. I really like hops, but this is too much.

330ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Citrusy and slightly piney, hoppy aroma, minimally woody notes of pineapple, some lemon, a touch of yuzu, all integrated in a honeydew melon bedding. Taste is citrusy and fruity hoppy, minimally sugary pale malty, notes of lemon, a touch of yuzu, some melon and pineapple. Very refreshing, well balanced, flattering sweetness. Yummy.

On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Hazy golden/yellow with a small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus and grass. Similar taste, also mild malt. The bitterness was on the light side.

An Stella (aka Ella) Dipa. Struggling to recall if I have had such a beast before. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Light and pretty sweet malts, a tad too sweet methinks. Ella hops bring floral pine and a sweet, almost candy, tropical fruits vibe. Smooth finish. Ella come Stella was always a robust and fairly bitter hop, hard to recognise in this overly sweet affair.

Here we go again! Just a very light haze on this gold beer, hazy my fucking arse! What a shit show these style changes are, badly thought out and not managed. There is a small pale cream colour head on this NOT feckin hazy dipa. Palate is light and semi dry, light fine crispness. Light but notably sweet malts, a light creamy sweetness. Piney hops over light and sweetish citrus. Orange led, but trace of tangerine and even less of sweet tropical fruits. Light finish. Serviceable and clean but a tad on the sweet side.
