Description
Ārpus Brewing Co. is an independent microbrewery, founded in 2017 by craft beer geeks from Latvia. We brew what we love - juicy hop forward ales, fruity sour beers and bold imperial stouts - and we’re proud that Ārpus Brewing Co. is voted as #1 brewery in the Baltic States on Untappd.
We chose Latvian word Ārpus for the name of our brewery, as its meaning reflects the types of beers we brew - outside the box, beyond the mass made lagers, beers with overwhelming flavours and aromas for people brave enough to step out of their comfort zone.
The brewery is located just outside Riga (Latvia), equipped with a 10hL brewhouse and 20hL fermentation vessels. Our beer is packaged in 440mL cans and KeyKegs, then stored in a cold room to keep it fresh longer.

Tap @ Easy Beer. Pours nice deep yellow, some foam but not much of it. Nose has some sweet mango, otherwise light wheat sourness there, slightly messy. Taste is actually quite mango-forward, fruit dominates over that relatively messy wheat character. Overall, quite happy with this, good thirst quencher

Pours rather unclear blonde. Small to no white head. Smell is mildly hoppy ( fruits) taste is full, malty, tad sharp, some hay ( maltyness, not saison like tho) mild aromatic grassy hops, tad spiced by the hops. OK beer in general.

Pours unclear yellow, small white head. Smell is bit dank, rather grassy hops. Mild fruits. Taste is sharp, high ( medium high) Carbo, fruity, grassy hops, not really dank in taste. Bit simple to me, could use some more malts and body here. Not bad at all tho.

Bottle. Golden, clear, snow-white foam. Aroma: hops, fruit, a light spice, a little watermelon. Taste: clean, watermelon and a few other fruits, very drinkable, soft hop bitterness.

Draft glass @ TAKA Bar. Pure hazy orange, small white. Nose is flat cheese, overripe stone fruit, too yoghurt. Taste is bit too doughy, cheesy, yoghurt, hop, all yeast, not optimal but, had worse NEIPA but also better.

On tap at Alus Muia, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of coriander, followed by subdued mango. Flavour is similar, with more coriander than mango, followed by a soft wheaty palate. Not bad.
