Licorice and light roast, though not overdone, with scant woody toast and caramel. Clean. Little/no hops.
Right away it's very thin. Not egregiously so, but noticeably. Just not enough base malt character/depth. Otherwise it's clean with moderate roast, coffee bean and dark chocolate.

12 oz. pour on tap at Eli Cannon's. Opaque black w/ring of head & no lacing. Aroma is strong mix of roasted malt & cocoa but late dank green pepper. Taste is artificial/plasticine aspect over roast & chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture soft carbonation, fin as taste.

16oz can from John's Market. Hazy golden pour with dense, rocky white head, glass is coated with foam. Aroma brings a hefty hit of pineapple, citrus. Taste is caramel, pineapple, orange and a touch of melon. Creamy feel, light lingering bite.

Pours pale golden with a frothy, bubbly, white head. Aroma of resin, some oily malt. Oily taste, viney, some oak and other wood, classic Pilsen malt. Palate has some hops, perhaps Saaz. Not bad.

Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma of smoke, some sweet malt, slightly grassy hops. Taste has light smoke notes, some mellifluous elements, mildly grassy and floral. Palate has some of the malt body coming through to the tongue, lingering smokiness on the nose. Quite good.

Can at Paragon, 9/22/23. Reddish-orange, off white head. Super pineapple forward, cherry juice. Tart. Fairly flavorful. Lactose is not overpowering, which is a good thing.

Taster pour from a can at Rising Pint Brewfest. It's a cloudy dark yellow with ring of off-white head with light lacing. Aroma is strong candied fruit, citrus. Taste is candied fruit, pineapple. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, sweet and juicy.
