Slightly hazy golden and raw honey coloured body that shows a little clear towards the bottom and a very thin, barely half centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of pure wheat, coriander seed and a dash of bananas with some bubble gum noticeable on the edges. Medium-bodied; Strong wheat and yeast elements dominate with a good kick of coriander seed for freshness, but missing out almost completely from fruits, especially oranges and curacao with no real banana notes either and definitely no spices. Aftertaste shows some fresher wheat, yeast, bread and light coriander seed with a hint of citrus notes at the end. Overall, a nice and very refreshing slightly filtered Hefeweizen that hits the marks in terms of wheat and coriander seed, but leaves a bit missing towards the oranges and curacao notes with some spices desired for more of a complexity. While it's simple and refreshing, and not a bad option here in Wyoming, there are much better options if this is one of your only local choices for the style! I sampled this sixteen ounce pint on draught at Longhorn Restaurant in Sundance, Wyoming on 26-June-2020 for US$5,00.

On draught at Urban Bottle.
Pours a hazy orange with near zero foam and lacing.
Aged in gin barrels, fruity and yeasty, boozy, hints of honey and Banana.
Taste is boozy but a good boozy. Juniper berries up front, yeast, bananas, lemons, quite fruity and enjoyable.
Medium bodied with light carbonation.
So different from what my palate is used to. It's nice to be surprised once in a while.

From a cask.
Red cherry coloured, smells of cherries, sweet but not overly sweet like some.
Same thing with the taste. Minimal alcohol burn on the throat, almost none and that's amazing.
A superior Mead in my book.

On draught at Old Chicago.
Looks a murky dark brown, good head of foam and lacing.
Smells of cloves, wheat, more spiciness.
Taste is of cloves, wheat, kind of yeasty, pretty authentic for the style.
Body is a bit thin but overall, I liked it.

It looks the part, hazy straw yellow colour, nice head of foam, outstanding lacing.
The smell is okay. Banana, wheat, grainy, cloves.
The taste has bananas, cloves, wheat, perhaps a bit too grainy for my liking.
Earthy.
Appropriate mouthfeel for the style.
Decent attempt at the style.

$3 for a 16 ounce Prowler.
Pours a deep red, very little foam and no lacing.
Grainy, semi sweet malt, a little bit nutty. Goes for appearance and taste. I reckon that there's something off with it...

On draught at Old Chicago.
Poured a dark brown, small off white head of foam.
Smelled of roasted malt, chocolate, some hoppy notes.
Tasted of light chocolate, toasted malt, bit of hop bitterness. Really really mild flavours that bored me after a few sips.
Light bodied with good enough carbonation.
Not worthy of a revisit.

22 ounce bottle bought at Liquor Shed.
Pours black, small head of tannish foam, near zero lacing.
Nose is of honey and grain, almost fruit like as in cherries, also red licorice.
Big honey and again, fruit like character mixed in with grain. It imparts a mild tartness to go with the honey sweetness. The alcohol is very much there in every sip. Too strong imho.
Not that big of a body and the carbonation is almost non existent.
I appreciate that this Meadery slash Brewery is a Wyoming company and that they brew some decent beers as well, but I reckon that their Braggot is TOO much of a chore to drink. 12 ounces would suit me better.

750ml screw top bottle pours an oily gold with no head. Nose has honey, thistle, vanilla. Flavor is very sweet, honey, cardamom, vanilla, chai spices. Sweet finish, chalky too.

From my 16 ounce Prowler bought at Liquor Shed.
Pours a very dark brown with a small off white head of foam.
I smell some roasted malt but more of the spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.
Roasted malt, cinnamon and nutmeg tastes. Called a stout but really, this is a Winter Warmer.
Low end of medium bodied and does water out in the finish.
Decent beer that needed a more substantial mouthfeel.
