Bottle 100 cl. Pours a clear yellow with no head. Dry apple aroma. Light body with a low carbonation. A slight initial sweetness quickly overtaken by the dryness. Subtle, clean apple notes and the alcohol completely hidden. Drinks completely like a dry apple juice. 060925

1 litre thick glass bottle from Kelterei Possmann. Pours a very pale gold, gentle carbonation. Clean and light with a very dry finish and distant tang. Breezy apple skin, not especially juicy. Almost tastes watered down, hard to believe it's 6%.

330ml bottle from Possmann. Pours a disconcerting reddish orange. Aroma brings strange cheap artificial flavouring. Tastes like artificial strawberry, artificial orange, cheapo orangeade and assorted other weird chemical elements. One of the worst drinks to ever adopt the 'cider' name. Offensively bad.

500ml can from REWE, Frankfurt. First of many apfelweins here in Hesse. Crisp, a touch sugary, crunchy apple skin, sweet juice with a lick of alcohol.

500ml can from REWE Frankfurt. Misty pale gold, soft drink level carbonation. Aroma of orangeade. Flavour profile seems to be mainly orangeade with faint glimpses of sweet green apple. Not entirely sure what the point of it is.

500ml can from REWE, Frankfurt. Pours a dark cola brown, fair carbonation. Aroma of cola with a faint underlying apple sweetness. Flavour profile is largely cola with an imposing apple sweetness that jars a little and doesn't quite work for me. Nice try tho, I'm sure some people will like it.

Draught 25cl pour @ Frankfurt Apfelwein Festival 2025. Misty pale pink complexion, moderate carbonation. Fruity, floral, red berries at its heart.. just a bit mild, watery and thin.

Clear pale red with a one finger tasll pinkish head of low retention. Red apples with tart skin, autumn leaves, light funk. Vinous notes. Light to medium sweet & sour. OK.
