On tap @Bir&Fud (Rome). Dorata carica, schiuma bianca media e persistente. Al naso sentori di malto, esteri (pesca), leggero agrumato, leggero bubblegum. In bocca va meglio, è equilibrata bene, non fa faville ma è corretta e senza difetti, dolce all'attacco con amaro pulito finale. Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Può migliorare, ma è un buon punto di partenza.

Bottle shared @Bir&Fud (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino leggera ma persistente. Al naso sentori di cioccolato, crema di whisky, caffè. In bocca è ben bilanciata, caffé, cioccolato amaro fondente, piacevole nota alcolica. Corpo pieno ma non eccessivo, carbonazione medio-leggera. Ben fatta.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Dorata viva, intensa, schiuma bianca media. Al naso sentori di frutta tropicale, litchi, uva, erbaceo. In bocca è bilanciatissima, base di malto media, non invadente, con finale amaro appagante, buona secchezza, la gradazione alcolica è ben nascosta. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Veramente ottima!

Dec. ’16. On tap at 4:20, with Roman ratebeer crew. It poured a hazy orange body with medium sized head. Nice smoked aroma, peat and ham. Flavor was lightly acidic from smoked malt, peaty, with notable herbal hops. Also sweet with these sugary, bread and caramel flavors turning into cheese, toffee or lightly burnt bread (overdone toast). Medium bodied with long peaty finish while everything else had fallen behind it fast. Way too simple to be rated higher but smokiness is extremely effective.

Dec. ’16. On tap at 4:20, with Roman ratebeer crew. It poured a hazy pale yellow body with medium sized head. Aroma was weaker than in most IPAs, but also quite fine - floral, pine and fruity hops, but not tropical at all, as it has been expected from its name. Flavor was moderately to highly bitter and lightly sweet. Hops gave herbal, grapefruit peel, generally fresh flavors as in aroma, while malt was like biscuit, caramel and ripe peach. Medium bodied with moderately long finish which was very dry. Alcohol was hidden perfectly. Fine and pleasant double IPA, quite rich. I don’t get the name though.

Dec. ’16. On tap at 4:20, with Roman ratebeer crew. It poured a hazy pale yellow body with a medium sized head. Fine aroma, lemon, light chalk and citrus peel with coriander as a spice. Flavor sourish, lightly sweet. Chalk, vague honey and biscuit, a bit of spices other than coriander (pepper, cloves even maybe). Quite thin but with long finish where spices, especially pepper dominated. Subtle, a bit on the weaker side but pretty fine for what it is.
