11/7/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours slightly hazy pale golden with a small short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma is rich honey, flowers, heather, straw, light citrus and medicinal/lockets notes. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, light sparkling carbonation. Warmed to it.

Bottle pour. Big heather honey vibe. Lockets. Bit of a white grape thing. Surprisingly refreshing and clean given the honeyed aroma. Dry and lightly bitter finish. Not sure this kind of mead is my thing.

Bottle. A gift off Dave down SMOD, who is a very fine fellow. Cheers. Hazed pale lemon juice colour. Thin very firm white head, which I definitely didn’t expect (but then I know next to nothing about mead). Overpowering aroma of Heather honey here, and really not a lot else. Can’t pick out the hops at all really, barring a light whiff as it warms. Soapy and medicinal. Not for me. Looks lovely mind you.

Sample thanks to Danlo. Cheers mate. Pours a misty yellow, with a strong, vivid honeycomb aroma. Soft carbonation encouraging a crisp, dry palate and a vibrant, complex flavour profile that produces floral notes with pleasant honey shades, and perhaps a hint of melon and citrus as well. Not as oily and sticky as many meads. Nice.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 08/05/23. Almost clear golden with a just off white cap that thins to spotting. Nose is honey drizzle, apple, melon, perfume, flora, notes. Taste comprises perfume, green berry skins, quite a bitter aspect to it for a mead, honey, perfume, straw, melon. Medium bodied with bite, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Interesting mead ... definitely one of, if not the, least sweet ones I've encountered.

Panda 🐼 at home big thanks to Danlo. A ;oght hazed golden orange coloured pour witha halo of white head. Aroma is nice rich sticky honey, brown sugars, raw honey, floral notes, brown sugars. Flavour is composed of nice, crisp earthy honey, earthy, brown sugars, plastic. Palate is dry, mineral, fine carbonation, waxy.

750ml bottle from the Cider Hole, Sheffield. Hazy golden colour, white foam head and aroma of honey, floral, heather, honey comb, spice. Taste is sweet, honey, heather, flowery, straw, hay, spice, with light tartness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying with residual honey sweetness at the finish. Very drinkable.
