Bottle pour at Mead Museum, pours a clear golden. Aroma has plenty of crisp apple skins, apple juice, and wildflower honey—fairly dry. Flavour has a really nice blend of apples and wildflower honey, with plenty of booze and light floral notes. Really great incorporation of the apples. Excellent.

Medovinárna, thx mcberko! Cleeeear paaale golden body. Old apples and honey, caramel, alcohol in the aroma. Too dried out bit alcoholic but smooth sweet red apple and honey in the taste. Hight boost but kinda works!

Dark purple. The aroma is a bit medicinal, it's got a nice berry character, with some richer honey overtones, lightly floral. Yeah, that's really nice.

Poured from 100mL bottle (pkg 29.01.2025). Mahogany auburn with no head. Very nice dark cherry, slightly tannic, nice honey underlay. Solid.

0.1L bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany. Nose has a sort of red wine tannic character, even though I know this is cherries – so I guess deep dark cherry skins, fermented out honey, and some honey nectar. Flavour is more like a medium-dry fruit wine, with lots of deep dark cherry skins, some vinous notes, fermented out honey, and alcohol. Really nicely constructed; the fruit adds a wonderful complexity. The sweetness is quite low for a mead, but I think that works. Finishes more tannic than anything. Excellent.

100mL bottle from Medovinarna. Pours deep mahagony. Grainy honey and sweet dark cherries on the nose, some cinnamon. Flavour has a deep dark cherry character, honey sweetness, tart tannins, boozy; quite dry on the finish. This is very nice.

Bottle pour at Medivarna. Pours clear rose gold. Flavour has tons of rich honey and subtle, but still very present blueberries. Restrained and well-done.

0.2 bottle, Pozdrav z Domažlic from Náš Konzum, Domažlice. Dull golden-amber body, fairly clear, not much head. Strong aroma, bit rough, honey, fermented honey, some alcohol, maybe light glue, doesn't hide its strength. Honey-driven taste (so surprising), actually pleasant, lightly caramelly, vaguely spicy, nice minty note, sweet, some odd fermentation notes, again, alcohol and light glue. Sorry, a bit too much. Sweet, aggressive, sharp, not my type.

0.2 l bottle shared with Marko who bought it on a fair in Domažlice. Oily clear golden. Honey, sugar syrup and alcohol aroma. A touch of ripe apple and some spice. Sweet. Quite fruity in the flavour, lots of that apple and sweet quince along with the honey. Warming. Drinkable in the end. Sweet finish.
