Sampled from the tap at 16 Tons. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a decent amount of earthy grass with a hint of resin and an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has a good amount of earthy pine supported by a light resin and a bread backbone.

22oz bottle pours out a cola color topped with tan head. nose is light cherries some roast tartness some fruit notes and barrel. Taste is more of the sour notes barrel a light bitterness and the light cherries.

Draft 8 oz pour at Special Brews. Listed as a barleywine. I’d believe either way. Clear caramel color pour with a swirl fizz head. Surprising amount of hops on the aroma. Quite dominant. Isn’t very sweet, which made this a winner for me. Bold malt flavors with a cool finish. Quite nice.

On tap at PreFunk. Big, bold, hoppy. Mildly hazy golden pour with spare head, but curtains of lacing. Huge hop nose, even moreso in taste, coupled with some astringency. Bitter, lasting hoppiness at the finish. Hides the ABV well.

On tap at Apex, pours a hazy golden copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of pot-like hops, herbal notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is huge on the herbal and pot-like hops, some resin and biscuity malt. Super juicy and potent. Another excellent IIPA from these guys.

On tap at Growler Guys, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out chocolate, whiskey barrels, and some wood. Flavour is super complex, woody, and bourbony, with the barrels imparting a wonderful complexity. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

On tap at Growler Guys, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of oats, some roast and a little dry cocoa. Flavour is rich, with oats, chocolate, and a touch of coffee. Full-bodied and chocolatey on the finish. Really well-designed. Excellent.

On tap at Growler Guys, pours a clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, a touch of caramel and a touch of toffee. Flavour is full-bodied for an amber, with bready malt, some dry caramel and decent hopping. Well-balanced with a good body. Really nice.

Draft - Lots of grapefruit and pith. Clear gold with a decent white head. Big orange and fruity notes, pithy and lots of peel with a touch of booze in the finish. Nice.
