On Tap at PreFunk, Boise Jeeze, I could smell the fresh hops even while the guy was still pouring the glass. mostly clear orange witha fine but firm thin white head and even sheets of lacing. Classic fresh citrusy pithy up front west coast hop aroma. More of a woody sharp bitterness with a little metallic note. fairly light bodied, and a clean finish. A lot of regional hype on this beer. Glad I finally caught up with it, and it nearly lives up to it. Still, top flight IPA

Black color. Intense aroma, roasted malts, chocolate, fruity hops. Full bodied, coffee and roasted malt flavor, a bit ashy, with light residual sweetness, followed by extreme resiny hopping. Still some harsh roastiness in the final, but it doesn’t spoil the rest.
Powerful.
