About
The history of the brewery goes back to 1919 with the merger of four breweries in Douai the Grande Brasserie des Enfants de Gayant is created. In 1994 the Goudale brand is launched. In 2000 the purchase of the Brasserie Jeanne D’Arc at Ronchin takes place, it is later renamed as Brasserie Grain d’Orge.

In 2010 the brewery is acquired by André Pecqueur the owner of the Brasserie de Saint-Omer and the Brasseurs de Gayant and the Brasserie Grain d’Orge merge. In 2016 the Brasseurs de Gayant move to Arques to a brand new modern factory, at the forefront of technology. It’s the birth of the Goudale brewery.

Bottle, at Logitech bierproeverij 7. Color: Clear orange amber, white head. Aroma: Floral hop. Taste: Sweetish, hints of caramel, grassy and floral hop. Medium body, average carbonation. Boozy hints. Medium sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Ok.

Appearance: Clear deep gold with a decent off-white head. Aroma: Biscuit malt, candied citrus fruits, floral and tropical hints, resin. Taste: Light sweet, medium plus bitterness. grapefruits, resin, biscuit, honey, floral notes. Mouth feel: medium plus body, average carbonation. Summary: Pretty much underrated.

Clear golden colour with thin head. Obviously very strong with alcohol, quite sharp. Generic cereal taste. Not too many rough edges though. Could be much worse.

Appearance: Beautiful bottle. Clear gold with a decent white frothy head. Aroma: Pale malt, candy, apple & pear, hay, higher spirits, grassy hop. Taste: Light to medium sweet, light bitter, somewhat alcoholic. pale malt, candy, overripe apples and pears, apple seeds, grass, Mouth feel: Full body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: Worth the money. Nothing wrong.

In de tuin in Plouha uit een fraai flesje. Zeer donkere amber kleur. Wat caramel in het aroma. Smaak vol, caramel met een prima nasmaak.

brown colour, medium sized beige-ish head; aroma of dried cherry, prune, raisins, some cocoa/milk chocolate, ripe banana and some alcoholic notes;taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with some rye bready, caramel and minimal soy sauce, as well as yeasty notes; I like it
