Bottled. A deep red beer with a bubbly brown head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and malt as well as lighter notes of nuts and some cardemomme and other spices, leading to a lightly dry and spicy finish.

pours clear dark amber or dark red-brown, large light-brown head, a bit unstable. aroma is sweet malty, corn, malts. typical for a strong cheap macro. doesn’t remind me much of the better dunkler bock’s i’ve had. warming up i sense a little dark fruits too. flavor is more bock like. sweet malty, alc, faint licorice, toffee, dark caramel, faint roasted stuff. alc flavor is everpresent and disturbing.

Bottle. a more or less clear beer, some sediments though. Dark amber, with a finger-thick off-white to beige head. Fruity nose with some spicy notes. Cardamom and something else. Malts and some dried fruits too. Quite weak, but at least there’s something. Malty sweet flavor with dried fruits, some spices and a little bitterness towards the finish. Full-bodied, almost sticky. Sweet finish with dried fruits and some spices. A better try than the two other Ice Cap beers, but too weak, and quite boring. (090412)

50cl bottle @ Netto, Odense. Pours dark amber with a small creamy head. Nose is roasted malts and spices. Anise and caramel. Medium to thin palate. Spicy taste. Very one dimensional and artofficial with anise, orange peel and nutmeg shining through. Ok though.

500ml bottle at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Attractive amber colour, thin beige head. Smells of jawbreaker bubblegum. Ugh. The flavour isn’t that much better. It’s pour away poor. Some spice.
