We are excited to share our passion for beer, food and sustainability with you. Much of the inspiration behind Vivant comes from the small breweries that dot the countryside in Southern Belgium and Northern France. Often, those breweries are true beer artisans who are also an integral part of their community. They experiment with unique yeasts and local ingredients, always with an artistic eye to their creations. Sourcing ingredients locally makes their beer pair exceptionally well with a meal of locally sourced produce, meats, and cheeses. Brewery Vivant promotes living the good life by brewing farmhouse inspired beer, serving a from-scratch menu, and building a sustainable community one beer at a time.

On tap. Pours as near clear golden orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet light fruit with a bit of citrus, a touch of pine and a wheat backbone. Flavor is similar with sweet light fruit and flora, a light citrus note and some wheat in the finish.

On tap at Churchkey during CBC week. Pours an opaque black with one ring of off white head. Nose is a nice mix of cherry, raspberry vinaigrette, chocolate, toast, brown bread. Flavor is tart and malty, soured, wood, acetic acid, vinegar, dark malt, light soured coffee. Full finish which is acetic but also dry.

Tap at Churchkey during Craft Brewers Conference. Poured a dark brown, almost black color with a tan head. Aroma was some light tart notes, with some sweet and roast malt notes. Flavor was some dark fruits, tartness, some chocolate in there. Not bad.

Draft at Taps 25, Lansing. Deep garnet body, thin tan head. Nose of molasses and chocolate; tart with woody undertones. The body is tart with leathery dark fruits, molasses, roast, chocolate wafers, and cocoa powder. Rather modest sour notes. Medium-bodied, somewhat sweet. Messy but interesting.

Very hazy orange beer, small off white head. Mild fine carbonation in the smooth and semi dry palate. A little malt cream. Fairly intense orange and a nice kick from the pepper. Touch of lemon. Semi dry finish. Hides the abv well. Black pepper heat linger.
