Cask at Pig's Ear 2017. It pours crazy murky brown with limited head. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily, chewy toffee, toffee apple, milky tea, candy, pear and melon. The taste is slick, oily, chewy, tart fruits, apricot, peach skin, earthy, musty, melon, apple, pear, toffee, varnish and boozy warmth through the finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Lacks a bit of cohesion - I am not sure the Belgian yeast works that well with the barley wine style.

Cask at Pig's Ear '17,day one, 05/12/17. Murky orange amber with little in the way of a head. Nose is sweet and sour, stewed fruits, yeast esters, booze fumes, light spice. Taste comprises raw fruits, melted brown sugar, dried fruits, earthy, toffee, pear drop. Full bodied, cloying feel, sweet boosty rise. Not for me ... raw in places and rather unbalanced.

Very good. Rye and peppercorn give a nice little spicy finish.
