Can from an off licence in Krakow and drunk in the hotel room. Clear mid gold colour lasting cream head. 6% some pale malt some leafy hop on the finish. A bit sweet from alcohol. But its fine

Can from Mleczko, Reading, chosen for the style tick (but bought because it was a warm day and I was thirsty!). It's a reddish-pink drink with a small, very pale pink head. On opening there's a really good whiff of pink grapefruit. The flavour is also pink grapefruit but there's just a hint of fakeness in there - I wonder if it's actually caused by the nasty sweet sickly flavour you get in some non-alcohol beers? The grapefruit flavour itself is decent though (I am a big fan of grapefruit so I may have a little bias here!). There's a light fizz and the mouthfeel is thin by beer standards, but feels right for the style of drink. There's a slight bitterness in the finish which balances the sweet fruit well and makes this very refreshing and more-ish. I enjoyed this and would actually choose it over a fizzy drink on a hot day (although no doubt my love of pink grapefruit helped here). Maybe I'll have to try more radlers!

Sweet artificial pear and malt aroma. Taste is sweet pear with a hint of malt. Too sweet and on the pear juice side.

Wheat and yeast aroma. Similar taste, slightly sweet, with some citrus fruits and coriander. Sweet aftertaste.
