Draught, half pint at The Microbar i Manchester. Share with Finn. Misty golden body, film-type layer, dotted spots on the glassware. Moderate ripe fruity aromas, a citric scent to it. Quite tasty with oily hops and citrus, backed by cereal malts. Drying close, far away bitterness to it. Average, more or less. (Manchester, 22.03.2024).

20th March 2023. Monthly Beer Share, Chez Sophie in Shrewsbury; five guys who love beer and talk bollox while drinking. Cheers Mat for the 33cl bottle of this one. Misty light lemon body, white head. Couldn't get passed the aniseed to be honest, my Dad would have liked it but I am not really a Pastis sort of bloke.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, March 23. Bought from a French deli in Greenwich market. Pale golden yellow appearance, good white head. Big big aniseed aroma jumping out the glass, delivering a strong aniseed presence to taste alongside herbal sprucey notes. Achieves its purpose well but not one I want to revisit.
