Description
Founded in 1900, Cervezas Ambar is an independent Spanish brewery that maintains the spirit of a constantly evolving family enterprise. With 18 beer varieties, it has more specialities than any other brand. It continues to produce beer at the same brewery where it began operations in the early part of the last century, located in the historic San José neighbourhood. There they maintain the craft processes of the 20th century, with their own malting facility and the only open vat fermentation room still in use anywhere in Spain.

On tap. Reddish colour with an off white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, nuts, toast and some hints of vanilla. The taste results medium sweet, with predominance of caramel. On palate is a medium body beer, creamy and soft thick and an average carbonation. From my point of view, one of the best industrial beers in Spain.

250ml bottle, shared by Finn. Clear golden body. Bubbly white head. Lighter smell of grainy malts. Semi-sweet taste of grass and corn. Sweet water impression in the mouth. One small bottle like this was, in fact, enough for the two of us (Skibotn session, 16.09.2011).
