Description
Founded in 1900, Cervezas Ambar is an independent Spanish brewery that maintains the spirit of a constantly evolving family enterprise. With 18 beer varieties, it has more specialities than any other brand. It continues to produce beer at the same brewery where it began operations in the early part of the last century, located in the historic San José neighbourhood. There they maintain the craft processes of the 20th century, with their own malting facility and the only open vat fermentation room still in use anywhere in Spain.

Bottled 25ml (ABV 4.5%, BB 03/2012)
Deep golden color, small white head. Light sweetish, apple fruity aroma. Light bodied. Harsh, cardboardish and corn sweet flavor. Not very pleasant. And even bottle is reasonably fresh, so no excuses here.

bottle from el corte ingles, palma de mallorca. clear yellow, smooth thick white head. bittersweet macroish aroma, dry. flavor is quite sweet, as if they had used maize, somewhat malty, bitter balance with a little bit of fruitiness. More flavor than i had expected, one of the more flavorfull spanish macro’s. However it is also slightly sweet and flowery, which doesn’t work very well.
