Bottle shared at crêpe lunch in the cidershack at Domaine Pouldroit, Piriac-sur-Mer. Opens with a loud pop and pours orange with intense but short lived bubble action in the bolée. Sweet applejuice, cellared apples, cheesy unwashed goatbutts, mild and soft and sweet at the core with some vanilla-esque cooked apple softness and some exciting stuff happening around the edges. Nutty, tannins, cheesy funk, it’s all there if you look for it, but the core is an easy drinking soft slightly unfiltered applejuice that goes very well with a galette au camamebert & poulet rôti. It’s exactly as sweet and tart as unfiltered applejuice and soft bitter with some tannins and nutty character. The body is medium as far as this term applies at all and there is quite some carbonation. It’s soft and creamy in the mouth with a pleasant sparkle. The 3% abv is untraceable but gives the existing aroma’s and characteristics a just boost to shine. It is a simple drink but this bottle was gone in 10 minutes shared between 2 people. Perfect for a lunch. The easiest drinking cider we’ve come across this holiday. Aroma wise I prefer more complexity but I will score this accordingly to the pleasant experience.
