(On tap @ the brewpub, Mar 24/23) Pours opauqe dull fleshy pink with a huge bubbly off-white head and heavy fruit 'lace'. Notes dominated by ripe banana, semi-sweet, floral, strawberry is there but somewhat blends in with the vanilla into a subservience behind the dominant banana. Light pip bitterness. Full-bodied, very creamy and thicc.Would have been better with brighter strawberry character - that's what making it in July would do.

(On tap @ the brewpub, Mar 24/23) Pours moderately hazy pale orange with a decent white head and some lace. Quick rate: very leafy and earthy hop profile overall - it's Idaho, baby! - with base layers of pale and orange citruses providing sweetness and a little peel bitters, more piney resins than cannabis resins really, malt is somewhat robust and cereal-forward, clean yeast, rather dry and earthy/herbal finish with a little citrus peel for good measure. Light to medium body, average carbonation. A good showcase of a fairly distinctive hop profile, something these guys are doing well right now.

(On tap @ the brewpub, Mar 24/23) Pours ery dark brown with a thick medium tan nitro head and lace. Quick rate: heavily burnt and charred sugars and grains, some sweetness from the caramel but behind the earthy and bitter roast, surprising amount of (spent) coffee given the lack of it as an adjunct, graham cracker becomes more apparent with warmth but in a sugarless way, vanilla/marshmallow makes up for that with a cloying heavily floral sugar component, finish has sweet sugars, though with prominent roast acidity meeting charred earthy bitterness and some resinous sticky stuff it is rather all over the map, long clingy old coffee vibes in the aftertaste. Medium-plus body, creamy from the nitro, coats the tongue. A lot of ideas here, some very valid, but the execution is a mess. Doesn't really feel like pastry either. Compared to the other 2 stouts from them so far this is a bit of a miss (though still better than almost any shelf stout in the province...).

(On tap @ the brewpub, Limoilou, Mar 24/23) Pours lightly cloudy medium gold with a decent white head and lace. Quick rate: light and bright tropical/dank mix, lots of (mostly) canned mango and pineapple with some citrus backing, fair amount of semi-dank greenery but not heavily earthy or peppery, light wheaty malt body, off-dry, finish is fairly dry and very lightly bitter/dank, lingering fruitiness. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Good bright crispy wheat IPA though I was struggling a little with sensing aromatics at the time and wasn't 100% the best judge.

(473ml can from the brewpub) Pours very hazy medium gold with a thick white head and lace. Notes of bright pale citrus (grapefruit, pomelo, lime), citrus zest, melon, a bit of sweet floral tropical fruit, quite light malt body overall but not-quite-crispy, nice overlay of dank leafy resins from Idaho 7, bone dry finish, pale citrus peel and pith, grass, light to moderate bitterness. Light to medium body, slightly oily, light carbonation. Drinks like less than its ABV, not wholly a bad thing. Solid refreshing single.

(473ml can from the brewery) Pours very hazy yellow with a decent white head that's stable and leaves lace. Aroma is very tropical and fruity with floral edge, some mango, pineapple, mixed pale citrus, slightly creamy coconut, banana, guava. Flavour is fairly dry, again tropical and floral with grapefruit, coconut and herbal Sabro, guava, Mosaic-y berries, some bready cereals in the middle of the sip, softly fruity yeast, finish is hyper-floral sweetened pink and red berries, grapefruit, mixed tropicals. Medium-bodied, slick, below-average carbonation. Bit of a quirky hop profile that comes together really nicely in a drinkable fruity but not sweet DIPA.

(473ml can from the brewery) Pours near-opaque dull gold with a decent white head that fades quickly with a little lace. Aroma is lots of lime peel and some pulp, aromatic and a bit floral, leafy, a bit musky. Flavour is dry, lean and crisp with almost crackery malt, bright high lime and lemon-ish pulp, floral and a bit astringent citrus peel, underripe pineapple, very low-ester yeast profile without a lot of juiciness, finish is borderline acidic lime pulp and slightly peppery bitter citrus peel, pith and touches of green onion. Light body, average carbonation, a little slick. Dry, Motueka means it's not really juicy, and so it drinks a bit more like an APA with its low ABV. Refreshing, solid.

(473ml can from Superette du Diner, Quebec City) Pours very hazy deep gold with a decent white head and a little lace. Aroma has lots of creamy ester-heavy fruit, syrupy pineapple, banana, sweet guava, some pale citrus, tingling but not biting resin behind it. Flavour is sweet and juicy with sugary pineapple, sweetened grapefruit/lemon and some tangerine, musky floral tropical stuff like guava lurking, fairly fruity yeast, lightly bready malt, heavy floral pithy citrus resins (grapefruit etc) in the finish, . Medium-bodied, moderate-plus carbonation, touch creamy. Bit of an odd hop profile to this, not really unexpected I guess with the hop bill but not quite to my taste on the finish in particular. Well-brewed however, good saturation etc.

(473ml can from masoif.com) Pours very hazy medium gold with a thick white head that's very stable and leaves heavy lace. Aroma is super-fruity and very NZ, big hits of kiwi, white grape, green gooseberry, sweet guava, lime candy, some cannabs. Flavour is off-dry at best, bright and juicy despite the limited sweetness, lots of white wine grape highlighting candied cured pale citrus (lemon/lime), kiwi, pineapple, mixed fragrant but not heavily musky tropical fruit, smooth doughy malt with clean and fairly neutral yeast, finish is zero bitterness, long and fruity with white grape and floral tropical fruit, less dank than typical Riwaka maybe but with a little weed edge for kicks. Medium-bodied, between creamy and oily, soft smooth carbonation. Super-smooth, balanced, full of NZ flavour. Awesome DIPA.

(On tap @ the brewpub, Limoilou, Feb 11/23) Pours very hazy deep gold with a decent white head and good lace. Aroma is wonderfully intense, fuzzy peach candy and ripe peaches if rendered as a cannabis strain thanks to heavy waves of dank leafy NZ vibes, touch vinous and earthy, soft bready malt underneath. Flavour matches the nose, lightly sweet and heavily hopped up front, rich notes of fuzzy peach candy and ripe peaches, a certain peach skin quality too that's softly bitter, a bit of lime zest in the back, heavy leafy Nelson, dank for sure, a bit earthy, not skunky like Citra, smooth lightly bready malt, good yeast fruitiness, not-quite-chalky drydown with light but grippy bitterness, lots of peach and dank leafy stuff in the finish, no hop burn. Medium-bodied, slick to creamy, fairly soft carbonation. After 9e Marche this is another excellent Southern Hemi hop shake from them.
