From tap at the brewpub. Golden body, with a big, stable, very creamy, white head.
Aroma with lots of freshly grinded coffee, chocolate, some coconut, some toast. Tastes similar, with some more citric hops.
A bit creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth, medium roasty, slightly sweet, slightly hoppy, with lingering coffee.
This was a great surprise! Lots of clean, fresh coffee notes and a beautiful creamy character. Extremely quaffable, balanced stuff, as characterful as a Stout, but super easy to drink. Maybe the first time I truly understand the purpose of that style.

From tap at the brewpub. Yellow, medium hazy body, with a creamy, white head.
Aroma of citrus, resin, pine, flowers, some tropical fruits, slight biscuit. Tastes similar.
Lighter mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation. Finishes bitter, crisp, resinous, citric, floral, a bit piney, slightly sweet.
Very fresh, crisp old-school Session IPA. Super clean and balanced, perfect summer beer.

Small transparant head over faintly veiled ruby-amber beer. Old cookies, oxydized malts, dried fruit as peach or apricot. Mineral character, almost salty, as voluntarily aged beer; again dried fruit as dates, figs, but also dried red fruit. Old - if well-cared for clothes. Certainly some thinning, very slick-oily, undercarboanted. Aftertaste has again this mineral impression - DMS? Very special beer. Txs to Tobias!

Dull redbrown beer, some disparate B.C.'H'. OId wine, christmas cake with Madeira, nuts, raisins, prunes. Red, party dried fruit, bottled Xmas cake, "boerejongens", old wooden (wine)casks. Alcohol thinning and light -burn, not very carbonated. Quite excellent, vinous, filthy rich Barley Wine. Vielen Dank, Tobias!

Small yellowish head, stable, over clear coppery beer. Honey, alcohol, spirit, some aldehyde. Fusely as few, again aldehyde. Honey as well, esters, and definitely sweet in the end. Alcoholheat, fiery, sticky. Too heavy on the alcohol for my taste, as it turns the beer aggressive IMHO.

Small if stable russet-cream head over jet-black beer. Oxydation in the best way, alcohol & fusels, nutty, chocolate, blue cheese, and indeed fortified wine, winebrand. Sourish first impression, then all the rich notes of the Madeira, chocolate, (dried) red fruit, dried nuts. Finish has slightly burning roast - aged, brown-rimmed wine. Rich, voluptuous, chewy yet smooth. Good carbonation. Truly excellent!
