Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber gold with a foamy beige head. Aroma is heavily citrus/pine. A little lightly roasted malt for backbone. Med+ body. Flavor is harsh resin/citrus hop over a hardly noticeable malt. The caramel does come out a bit after the hop seeps away. The hop is heavy NW burn. Likely the hoppiest beer ever out of Sacramento. The bar is raised!

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Brown-black pour with a medium tan head and strings of lacing. Aroma of malt and vanilla. Full-bodied with flavors of sweet malt, vanilla and milk chocolate. The finish is sweet with a vanilla/chocolate aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

On tap (listed at 11.3%). Pours with a crystal clear yellow hued body with a massive white head that lasts. Smells pretty good. Aromas are of stone fruit, tangerine, floral citrus, light pine and a decent amount of alcohol. Minimum dextrin malt. Flavors are warming, only a very light sticky malt presence. Alcohol, low bitterness, big fruity, citrusy and tropical fruit hop flavors. Medium carbonation and warming. Apprehensive going into this as I anticipated a big, sticky, sweet mess; very nicely surprised by this one.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours clear dark ruddy copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma is quite pine/citrus over firmly roasted malt. Full bodied. Itβs very resin/citrus hoppy. Almost burningly so. The malt is typical "red" roast, and itβs strong enough to stand up to the huge hop bill. This ale screams NW. Brilliant.
