Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours brassy gold with a large foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is tropical and floral. Med body or better. Flavor is floral, mixed tropicals like melon and passion fruit, lime, perhaps strawberry and some light caramel in support. Not dry, but not very sweet. A bit earthy, and decently bitter.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours orange gold with a light white head. Aroma is fruit forward - mostly non-tropicals. Med plus body or better. Flavor is bitter, citrus, mixed pale stone fruits, pine. Caramel support. Well towards dry tho. Very bitter through the finish. West Coast nicely over the top. Woot.

12oz can Mostly clear golden pour. Active white head. Melon and soft citrus hop aromas and flavors. Moderate bitter bite. Lots of fresh flavors. Quite good.

I’m a big fan of Citra so when I spotted this at Kyoto Isetan for 6 bucks I pounced. It’s also been awhile since I’ve had a Knee Deep beer! Knee Deep Citra Lights Single Hop Pale Ale 5.5% 30 IBU Matte gold with a dense off-white foam and big fruity Citra bouquet. Quite full bodied with a stinky bitter Dank fruity hop profile. A bit more bitter than I’m used to these days, classic APA type bitterness. Good stuff.

Can, 0.457l. Aroma of ripe mango, citrus, melon, flowers and resin. Pours cloudy golden color with thin creamy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet caramelly, resinous and herbal, following is medicinal and bready, mouthfeel is spicy and astringent, while finish is heavy bitter. I didn’t think I could possibly like a 14.5% ipa as generally anything over 10% tends to be way too malty for my liking and lack balance. Deep golden amber color. Amazing,
Slightly sweet, nose of marmalade, cake, all spice and apple pie. Super thick full bodied with full on hop and malt assault. The same intense notes in the nose remain there in the palate. Super full bodied. Amazingly this only show a bit of warmth in the finish but generally the alcohol is well hidden. Marmalade and cake last. It’s totally drinkable and the half pint I go is going down way too fast. This is a masterpiece to pull off 14.5% abv. Super impressive.

Knee Deep Tree City Haze 7% Fairly clear fir a hazy but it’s got the juicy aroma you’re looking for. Fairly full bodied with a round carbonation. The taste is juicy with some woodsy bitter pine in the finish. Really quite nice.
