500 ml bottle, from Coop Extra Øvre Årdal. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, large white head. Aroma of yeast, and piney and fruity and slightly spicy hops. Lively carbonation, but not as overcarbonated as some other beers from this brewery. The flavour is yeasty and citric, with decent hops. Could be a decent beer if it wasn't so yeasty.

500 ml bottle, as Kvernafossen American Ale Amber, from Coop Extra Øvre Årdal. ABV is 4.7%. Reddish amber colour, huge off-white head. Overcarbonated. Aroma of moderately roast malts, some piney and fruity hops too. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour has distinct notes of amber malts with some roast, and piney hops. A slight sweetness, but lacks fruitiness. Moderate bitterness. Not the worst from Kvernafossen, after all.

500 ml bottle, as Kvernafossen Jølstra Blond Ale, from Coop Extra Øvre Årdal. ABV is 4.7%. Nearly clear deep golden to orange colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops, grain and jam. Dull flavour, a little fruit and grain, minimal bitterness. Boring.

Big bubbly-creamy longlasting head, cloudy. Aroma is slightly fresh floral, leafs, flowers, hay, minerals, grass, paper, soap, wash cloth, bark, lemongrass. Taste is harsh sour-ish soapy, flowers, hay, soap, minerals, grass, wash cloth, weeds, bark, paper. Medium to longlasting bitterness, foamy metallic grassy mouthfeel. Meh!

RBHD-samling hos RB-Bryne. Med denne forlot vi brått komfortsonens hovedmanesje, hvor vi hadde delikatert oss med noen herlige ratinger. Derfor blir dette kanskje en urettferdig vurdering (rett etter Cold Hand Malus Danica). 0,5 flaske. Brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Overmodne solbær og bjørnebær iblandet sur kaffe. Direkte usjarmerende.

Shared bottle at local tasting, as Kvernafossen Kvernsteinsøl Stout. ABV 4.7%. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Thin mouthfeel. Acceptable flavour of roast malts and thin coffee. Dull finish.
