RBESG Grand tasting. Almost black color with medium beige head. Roasted malt in aroma together with caramel and chocolate. Taste,roasted malt, chocolate,licorice. Light bitter finish. Good.

Tap @ FairBar. Hazy amber with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, peach and citrus. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, peach, citrus, little caramel, little sweet, pine and medium bitter.

Bottle. A lightly unclear, golden to yellow beer topped by a white head of moderate size. Lacings. The aroma has some milky notes, as well as spice notes, generic fruityness and orange. Citruspeel, orange, peaches and some catpiss in the flavor, as well as white sugar and a yeasty touch. Pleasant bitterness as well. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Mostly bitter finish. A beer that hides the alcohol quite well, but it’s a decent one anyway. 120720

330 ml bottle courtesy of Stefan (non-RB). Pours very dark reddish brown, almost black, with a small frothy brownish beige head that quickly dissipates while leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with heavily roasted malts, charred wood, dark roast coffee, green chili, alcohol, dark rye bread, liquorice root, caraway and hints of vanilla. Taste is slowly sweet and bitter with heavily roasted malts, dark roast coffee, resinous wood, pumpernickel, liquorice root, pine and hints of vanilla, alcohol and soy sauce. Mouthfeel is tiny round, slightly dry, resinous and medium bodied. Finish is sweet,mbitter and tiny sour with roasted malts, coffee, green chili, resinous wood, vanilla and dark bread. Quite tasty but a bit rough around the edges.

(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 7 July 2012) Hazy golden colour with creamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, grainy malt and orange. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, tropical fruit, hints of coriander, a touch of yeast and a spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Solid and well made Belgian triple. Nice one.
