On tap at Erzbierschof Zürich, my first one here! Pours hazy yellow. Lemony sour aroma, reminds me of a saison. Crisp tart palate, a bit of sweetness. Highly refreshing and enjoyable.

Hazy orange color with big white head. Aroma of spices, tart fruit, citrus peel. Taste is citrus peel, nice fruity tartness. Silky mouthfeel. Better than many California Commons!

Weizen appearance with a lower foam than you?d expect. Aroma of spicy yeasts, banana, a bit tart. Taste is Weizen-like, more bananas, also a bit tart. A solid refreshing Weizen.

Dark amber color with big head, good lacing. Lightly smoked, dry bready malts, nice hopping, berries! Taste is light smoke, nice berries, bitter finish. A real winner! Typical S&A though. Incredible balance with the fruit for a smoke beer.

Hazy golden-orange color with huge white head. Aroma of fruity hops, oranges, grapefruits. Taste is light and heavily bitter. Like a pure hop juice. Carbonation is low. Refreshing. Not bad.

“That rug really tied the room together.” “They peed on my f*cking rug!” 330 ml. can @ home. BBF 14/08/2015. Pours a big glass of off-white / light beige / white head. Eventually revealing a very dark amber, ruby hued beer. Pours bitter very thick pine resin, strong herbal flourish, herbal caramel, light toffee,… Taste is bitter pine resin, fruity grapefruit, grapefruit peel mixed with light toffee, caramel, pine resin is very thick, almost chewy, faint syrupy sweetness, herbal bitterness, touch dark honey,… This one has a nice chewy quality to it & nice balance with thicker malts. Resinous, sap like body. I quite liked this one but … “Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.”

Amber-orange color with hardly any head. Almondy, prunes, booze. Warming. Taste is fruity-tart, more prunes and sweet. A bit woody. Very different. I like it!

Erzbierschof, Bern tap: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is light grain. Taste is slightly apple. Almost sourish. Not too complex and not really that good.

Barbiere, Bern tap: Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is sugar and fruitiness. Taste is kind of sweet with some aftertaste. Not particularly bitter or hoppy in an American sense. Some earthiness. This was underwhelming as either a Double or normal IPA.

Pale blond with massive head. Almost unpourable due to the massive amount of foam. Very grassy and lemony aroma. Fresh and quite tangy lemony, bitter hops. A great thirst quencher.
