Tony Pygott set up the six barrel brewery in the adjacent former grainstore in June 2010 and the first brew took place on 22nd June. Having built up a distribution network, 8 Sail Brewery cask and bottled-conditioned beers can be found in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and further afield.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, floral and mildly malty. Flavour is fruity, floral, nectary and some mild spicy notes.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Deep amber colour, small beige bubbly head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel and toffee with some mild roasted notees as well. Flavour is caramel, fruits, mild roast and some toffeeish notes. Balanced and quite nice.

pint at the Corner Pin, Doncaster. Thick creamy off-white head. Clear ruby pour. Lovely smooth porter.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Reddish-brown pour with a white head. Has an Easter aroma to it - hot cross buns, raisins a little chocolate, cinnamon. Sweet-spicy taste of sultanas, figs and cinnamon. Interesting.

bottle from a trade with papsoe, shared at ungstrup tasting dark brown, small offwhite head. aromais very bitter and caramelly malty bitter. flavor is malty, slightly dark fruity, not as bitter as aroma.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and a bit of wood, leading to a dry finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty and caramelish. Dark malty and caramelish. Roasted breadish. Dark malt and slight bitter finish.
