Appearance: Cloudy brown with a moderate ivory-coloured head of medium to high retention. Aroma: Toasted malt, coffee, spicy hop, slightly metallic. Taste: Medium dry. Light bitter. Special malt, bread, coffee & chocolate, spicy hop. Mouth feel: Medium minus body, soft to average carbonation. Overall: OK.

Appearance: Cloudy orange with a large off-white frothy head of good retention. Aroma and taste: banana, candy, some nail polish, bread, some hop & clove. Light sweet and bitter. Mouth feel: Medium minus body, lively carbonation. Overall: pretty unusual.

0,5l bottle from a local getränkemarket. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass amber coloured, nice head. Starts fine malty, spicy, caramel notes, mild sweetness. Herbal background. Finish well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice one!

500ml bottle. Opalescent, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty, minimally dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, whiffs of maple sirup. Taste is rather dry, caramel malty, minimally dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, grassy and minimally fruity, hoppy counterpart, mild hop bitterness. Minimally oily, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice composition, balanced, not too sweet, not too simple, no starchy aspects - decent.

Getrunken als „Brau-Manufactur Allgaeu Bayrisch Dunkel“. Dunkel braun/orange Farbe. Geruch malzig, klebrig fruchtig. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig, ganz minimale Balsamiconote. Zu viel Säure - damit ist nicht die Kohlensäure oder ein saurer Geschmack gemeint, sondern das Mundgefühl. Wirkt insbesondere im Endteil leicht „ätzend“ und das Gefühl klingt noch länger nach (das kenn ich so z.B. von manchen Roggenbieren). Auf alle Fälle ein interessantes, eher ungewöhnliches bayerisches Dunkel. Bei mir zündet es aber nicht wirklich.

Getrunken als „Brau-Manufactur Allgaeu Bayrisch Weisse“. Kräftig hellorange, sehr trübe Farbe – das sieht schon mal gut aus. Gekochte Früchte und fruchtiger Sekt in der Nase. Geschmacklich ähnlich, wobei der Sekt nur noch in Nuancen mitreinspielt. Interessante Aromatik / Würzigkeit von Antrunk bis Mittelteil - subtil, aber ausschlaggebend. Ein Hauch zu viel Säure, besonders im Endteil. Hier wird das Bier außerdem etwas dünn (die „gerade“ mal 4,9 % Alk deuteten das schon an). Trotzdem – wirklich nicht uninteressant. Macht durchaus Spaß.
