(bottle) Clear yellow colour with a medium frothy white head. Grainy malty nose with grassy hops. Sweetbitter flavour, light to medium body. Slight malty taste with a dry and bitter finish, which is quite watery and thin. Clean but tasteless and boring.

Reddish dark brown colour with a thick off white head, lacing. Wet cardboard in aroma with notes of ginger. Rather sweet oxidized malt with some raisins, light spiced notes, but not much else. Bottle is more that one year old.

Test vom 23.6.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,3,6,3,1,4 - 4,25

(Can 33 cl) Paderborner is a bit of an institution among Danish border-shoppers as one of the German beers which are semi-known among Danes which primarily prefer Ceres Royal. And I seem to remember that there’s even a "Paderborner Lodge" at Skanderborg Festival. All of this homage can’t be caused by the qualities that this beer possesses, because they are very few. Light golden pilsner colour and a decent head. No bitterness, but in exchange, an unpleasant metallic tang and underneath that a chemical tone. 250703

A light yellow beer with no head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty - nothing wront - just plain boring.

A light yellow beer with a white head. Both the aroma and the flavor are sweet and sour - if it wasn’t German I’d have guessed that it contained brewing cereal, but maybe it is the hops that gives it the sour tinge.

Dust, chalk and herbs, smells artificial. Pale yellow, low carbonation, ok head. Sweet and tinny taste. Watery, bad aftertaste. Crappy.
