Amber to copper colour with a chunky white head. Smells malts, barnyard and yeast. Tastes malt, hay, barnyard. Not my beer. Okay carbo, very thin to watery body.

50cl can from Rewe, Dusseldorf. Poured golden color with a white head. Skunky aroma, cereals and sweet malt. Flavor has sweet malt, cereals and light hoppyness. Poor.

Poured up on tap at the Altes Brahaus in Lippstadt with a nice clear deep amber body supporting a lasting mocha head. The aroma offers up some roasted maltines that seems a touch dusty as well as having a mild level of sweet dark fruity esters. I am also getting a faint rauchness as it warms. The taste delivers some roasted malts with a flash of almost roasted malt astringent tartness and then rolls into mild levels of chocolate malts and sweet dark fruity esters like sweet prunes and brown sugar coated raisins. Into the finish I get that faint rauch malt like sensation as in the nose. Maybe it is my imagination sensing this. I don’t know. Nice brew with a bit more going on than your typical Dunkel.

Bottle on holiday in Winterberg. Clear yellow / golden color, small white head. Smell is awful: malts, grains, manure and shit! Yuk! Absolute drainpour. Barely dare to taste it, but it’s lame, boring, dull, not nice at all and yuk!

50 cl. bottle @ home: one of the five beers brouht back from a German supermarket - thanks a lot Fréderic (although he is probbly way more exited about this stuff than I am :) - Last one in the series of four that I am trying, the Schneider Weisse I have alread tried so I am currently aging it just for kicks - Probably had this one around for just a bit too long but I have kept it refrigerated it the whole time - Bottle says that it was made with brewingwater, barleymalt & hopextract, brewed according Reinheitsgebot (one of those mystifyingly stupped rulles in brewing - reminds me a bit of HORAL in that aspect - why allow hopextract? - well it is not stupid, it is marketing oriented but in the Reinheitsgebot doesn’t appear to lead to a lot of great things as far as I can see or at least it doesn’t exclude some terribl ones - I think that I dry every beer with more or less the same state of mind but I would be lying if I said that I was expecting for this to be great althogh I was kind of hopping for a decent pilsner, unfotunatly I got something way worse - Pours a cristalclear yellow wih a non lastin white head that leaves a moldy looking head - Smell is luckily not skunked nor is the taste but instead I am getting hideous bitter hopextract mixed with bitter, ugly grass, chemical as hell, some bitter cereal, grains, corn & alunium can despite the fact that mine clearly came in a botle - This is simply a very bad Euro Pale lager, one of the worst ones I have ever had, reminds me kind of he worst macro beers in Belgium although many of them are still slightly preferable - I haven’t had one in the longest time but I am thinking of Maes here, not a good thing - Plain bad & ugly, I don’t think that you can get even drunk on this

Half liter, well re-used, brown glass bottle pours clear near pale gold with nice bright white head leaving behind spotty lacing. The aroma is pretty rich with grainy malts, breadiness, some apple and pear like boozy ester and a hint of floral hops. The taste is medium on the palate and drops off ample amounts of bready malts, a bit of grainy malts and a sense of malt sweetness that almost gets honey like as it blends with the sweet apple esteriness. Aside from those notes it gets just a bit grainy with malts as it heads toward the finish.
