A clear dark reddish brown colour, small beige head. Aroma of sweet caramelized malt, molasses, sugar. Taste of sugary dark malt, molasses, caramel, sticky finish.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. As Geselle Auf Der Walz. Aroma is grainy malt with some straw, bit low on hoppiness. Flavour is on the sweet side with a light bitterness. Medium body. Drinkable, bit too sweet.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear bright gold with fading white head. Aroma of grains, grass, a touch of dishwater. Taste of grains, stewed veg, bread, grass, light pepper. Moderate bitter bite. Medium bodied. It tastes better than it smells. Has some crispness but not the cleanest of pilsners. Its not that bad though.
