16oz can from Brewers Haven. Dark brown pour, small bubbly head disappears quickly. Sweet, malty aroma with boozy notes coming in last. Taste brings the strength right away, malty, sweet, boozy. Alcohol burn lingers.

Draft at Here's How. Clear golden pour, small thin foamy white head. Grainy aroma with some mild hoppiness. Taste is dry and bitter, biscuity. Kind of chalky too.

On tap at John’s Marketplace - SE Powell, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is moderately roasted, with gentle cocoa and coffee, and a soft earthiness. Flavour is surprisingly restrained for an impie, with soft cocoa, some coffee, and moderate roasted malt. Not much complexity or depth but it’s at least smooth.
