Description
The name, SOLID GROUND, has multiple layered meanings. SOLID GROUND is a synonym for Earth from which the ingredients for our beer, cider, and wine are derived and skillfully crafted. The education and experience that our production staff bring is the SOLID GROUND on which we are founded. We want our facility to be a gathering point for families and friends. Thus, a SOLID GROUND is created within our own community.
We specialize in traditional lagers, dry ciders, and sparkling wine. Every beer, cider and wine placed on our tap list undergoes a collaboration of ideas, recipes, and taste-tests before the final product is served.

(On tap) Clear pale amber with small white head. Nice aroma - orange with plenty be notes. Medium body with great carbonation. Taste is a good balance of tangy fruity flavors and gentle caramel malt sweetness. The fruitiness has orange notes to it. There’s pleasant but restrained bitterness in the finish. Very nice.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours dirty/hazy/grapefruit with a white head. Lush hop aroma. Med body or so. Flavor is citrus/melon/white berry (green melon). Juicily undry. Fairly hoppy. Moderately bitter. Important thing is that it has tasty flavor. Good!

Tap at The Bank in downtown Sacramento, CA. Pours bright gold with a white head. Aroma seems tropical. Med body. Flavor is mildly tropically semi-juicy. I think I find melon, guava, passion fruit (or maybe it's pineapple) and citrus. Flavors are not super strong. It's lightly bready; moderately dry; moderately bitter; but much more than moderately tasty and pleasing. Very nice lager.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy, slightly dirty gold. Aroma of fresh greenery - even like pine. Second sniff reveals tropicals - mango seems the main deal, but there might be some green melon. Med body at least. Flavor is juicy, not totally dry, quite hoppy and more than moderately bitter. Tropicals is the main thing - still sticking with mango and melon, but there is a piney note. Good stuff. Very.

Tap at Flaming Grill in West Sacramento, CA. Pours very darkly ruddy, but clear. Aroma of red berry and malt. Full bodied. Not at all dry. Red berry and malt that wants to be rye. But this is somewhat spicy/fruity, and likely not rye. It does have a decent amount of bitterness, just enough to stave off stickiness. A massive ale. Please sir, may I have a crowler?

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a slight, creamy white head. Aroma is sort of a white grape/citrus blend. Med body. It's juicy, seems to have some tangerine, and arguably white berry. Juicy, but rather dry. Slight hop burn, but not harsh. Pleasingly bitter. Malt is enough for support, but has no other function. It's good stuff - a bit different - a modern IPA - not old school for sure, and maybe a variation on NE. Gets more tangerine with time. Bottom line: good drink.
