On tap. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of dull fruit and toasted malts. Flavors of slight bittering hops and toasted malts. Not offensive and easy to drink, but why?

Can. Less than clear amber with a cm+ of white head. 6+ Aroma of kumquat, some berries, caramel, bread. Quite sweet with berries and vague citrus before resin and bitterness creep in. A bit sweet and lacks focus, but OK.

On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some doughy malt and lightly spicy Belgian yeast. Flavour has spicy Belgian yeast, a touch of white pepper, a touch of phenolic character (not the burnt rubber character), doughy notes, and medium bitterness. Finishes spicy, a bit too sweet an estery, and fairly bitter. Decent.

On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma has some straw, biscuity malt, some sweet corn. Flavour is much the same, with sweet corn, biscuity malt and straw. Clean and drinkable. It’s fine.

473ml can. Pours a hazy orange gold with lots of floaties and a large, foamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, raspberry, blackberry, white wine and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, lime, raspberry, mango and white wine in a tart, boozy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Sweet and artificial. The original was much better.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold yellow with a small, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Mild aroma of grainy pale malt, lemon and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy pale malt, grapefruit peel and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Crushable, but too subtle for me.

On tap at Parallel 49. Pours clear brown with an off-white head. Root beer on the nose. Flavour has dry root beer and some bready malts. Not bad for what it is.
