Bottle - Tropical fruit, lemon, grass and some herbal sweet yeast. Huge hit of boozy light tropical fruits, lemon, a bit of bitterness and a sweet boozy finish. Surprisingly all the alcohol works well with the sweetness of this beer. I don’t like it as much as some others here, but it is good and I would give it a try.

Hazy blond color with medium head. Light malt aroma. Good body strength; simple malt flavor with moderate sweetness, light fruity impression, very light spices; the bitterness is quite low, and the sweetness is balanced instead by a medium alcohol perception; the final gets slightly cloying.
In line with most American attempts at "Belgian" strong ales. Drinkable but unexciting.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Light, golden yellow with white head. Aroma is musky, grassy hops, and some grapefruit and pine. Flavour same, hops aren’t overpowering, alcohol is hidden, very well balanced. Oily texture, medium body. Easily my favourite from Parallel 49.

Bottle from Boundary Crossing, Vancouver
Hazy pink-red color with barely any head. Mild aroma of cherries, cherry pits and rose petals, wine. The mouthfeel is dry and weak; it has some flavor of days-old stale bread, very light fruitiness (raspberries), moderate acidity, but no lactic.
Unemotional.

Cloudy blond color with small head. The aroma of Sorachi Ace is very light. Light and dry mouthfeel, light but refreshing malt flavor, with mild, delicate Sorachi Ace; ordinary bitterness.
Undaring beer, but granted that it’s balanced and very pleasant to drink.

Muddy orange-golden color with creamy persistent head. Nice fruity hop aroma; sweet and bitter oranges, light tangerines. Overly carbonated, smooth mouthfeel; some malt flavor, strong bitterness, sturdy, vegetable, green, and a bit yeasty, with some astringency in the final.
Messy.

Cloudy brown color with medium head. Some caramel aroma with mild oak chips. Caramel flavor, a bit too carbonated, becomes pungent; lean body, not enough malty, with small residual sweetness; it has a very light herbal and minty touch; correct bitterness, with a nutty final; mild oak presence; it also has a light acidic touch.
It’s probably the third oaked doppelbock I had, and this one confirms that it’s not a wise combination
