Bottle, 0.33. Clear green apples color with totally diminishing white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma is artificial citrus, apple and rum. Tastes sweet and artificial with light bitter finish. Light body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. No sign of beer under the cap...

One of those cheap lagers in trendy longneck bottles enhanced with liquor flavours - the style I detest the most of all beer types. Thin, snow white, loose head quickly dissipating, over a beer coloured in a way I have not yet seen before (even compared to other green beers - a very rare phenomenon to begin with): a yellowish light green, like lime juice or pond water teeming with green algae, cristal clear with very low fizz. The aroma does bear some resemblance with a mojito: tons of white sugar, mint and lime juice, but very artificial, like industrial lemonade; some vague graininess remains detectable but otherwise there is nothing in the aroma even remotely reminiscent of beer. The taste is awfully sugary, like a soda pop, cloying to mouth cavity and teeth. In all this uncompromizing sweetness, a lemony acidity gives some relief, but it does not seem natural, this is pure ascorbic acid like in a Coca Cola Company product. Some weak malt sweetness lurks in the background but is overpowered by the sugary sweetness, the ascorbic acidity and a faint added mint flavour. Mouthfeel is otherwise thin, with medium carbonation. Finish has no hops or other bitterness, only the sticky sugariness, the drying ascorbic sourness and a retronasal spiciness not unlike cough syrup or mint julep, with a strong medicinal effect. I liked the colour of this brew - and that’s about it. This is a derivative of bland pale lager, very far away from Krombacher’s actual Pilsener; consider this an alcopop based on beer, but without the beer flavour... Weird and one of the most ’unbeery’ beers I had so far. I can imagine, however, that people who like mojito are capable of enjoying this to a certain extent. There are no technical flaws in this, it is exactly what it pretends to be, but the question arises whether this still deserves a place on a beer rating site... Well, it’s good for another tick, I suppose.

33cl Bottle from AH. Only 42% beer in this concoction. Pale green colour, fizzy sodapop head. Aroma of sweet lime, sodapop, LOADS of sugar. Flavour is extremely sweet, sugary, lime, more sugar, marzipan, sweet finish, fizzy. Light-bodied, fizzy stuff. This should not have a place on RateBeer.

Designer beer, allegedly a ’beer mix’ aromatized with tequila and lime extracts. Yellow colour, loose, snow white head and one-dimensional, sweet aroma with lime touch and some pale malts; taste sweet, sugary, lemony, hardly ’beery’ with only a very light maltiness, tequila fortunately remains a faint presence - but unfortunately still noticeable. Not as bad as Mexicana ’10 or Desperados but only because there is less artificial tequila extract in it, yet still belonging to the inglorious league of ’worst beers ever tasted’. Never trust flashy labels on colourless longneck bottles.

330 cl. completely clear bottle @ home. Procured from ALBO. Drank straight from the bottle because who are we kidding? Looks urine / corn golden, light foam on top once you start drinking, suspicious looking overall. Taste is nasty chemical oily corn syrup, mineral, watery, hop extract bitter, vegetable oil,… Oily, lower carbonation body. This beer is clearly all about lifestyle/marketing/brand/etc. with no attention to flavour etc. This is bit of a European Corona, I do feel like a privileged douche bag drinking this & do get a crazy urge to put on a Tommy Hilfiger Polo so mission accomplished I assume? It must be said that the Mojito & Tequila version were definitely more enjoyable than this even if they still weren’t all that good.

Stale fizzy lemonade. At least it's cold.
