[10/7/13] Draught at Delirium Hoppy Loft in Brussels. Very dark brown to black with a tan head. Nice roasty coffee aroma. Roasty and coffee-ish flavor, bittersweet, with a drier finish. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft. Here is another Delirium bar gem that they can’t manage to tap fresh, and instead wait more than 6 months to serve. Brune, col épais café au lait. Arôme est malté grillé, léger poussiéreux, grains le tout sur une pointe de citronné - houblonné. Malheureusement, le bouquet conserve une note lactique qui joue en défaveur de la bière. Palais est malté moyen, semble bien passé son temps. Pétillant moyen avec ce côté vieille bière. Légère amertume, pointe de grillé et torréfié. Amertume est modéré, assez sec en fin de bouche.

On tap. Pours with a nearly black hued body with a large and fluffy tan head. Aromas are very earthy, toasty, big special roast like malt character, nutty, earthy, almost a bit vegital. Flavors are roasty, toasty, nutty, light cocoa, dry and a bit bitter. Medium carbonation. Pretty dry finish. Not exactly a typical california common. Muddled.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft, Brussels. Orangée-cuivrée, col blanc-beige. Arôme est houblonné, fruité, épices, note de pamplemousse avec des effluves d’amertume plus prononcées. Palais est aussi houblonné, fruité en amertume, pointe tropicale, palais est râpeux et épicé, réchauffant avec des notes de pamplemousse.Ce côté épicé reste persistant et s’accompagne d’une fin de bouche oscillant sur un raisin blanc. Qcq chose qui n’accroche pas pour moi.

Thx! To Antoine. Sampler draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Amber with a creamy white head – enjoyable lacing. Nose is sweet malt, yoghurt (light), sweet sugar, caramel malt, light fating grapefruit hops,… Taste is sweet malt, light caramel, touch yoghurt, sweet sugar, herbs, light yeast, very light grapefruit,… Touch fuller body. Indeed somewhat infected but not heavily. Drinkable.

Zeebra Extreme Beer Festival (Growler) - Black colour, thin texture. Aroma is dominated by clove with a fair amount of cinnamon lurking in the background. The flavour is very medicinal from the clove. That, combined with cinnamon doesn’t go down too well.
