Courtesy of Degarth. This bottle was shared with Degarth and Quake1028 and was most certainly infected.
Pours deep dark opaque black with frothy brown foam head. The aroma is rich with chocolate malts, burnt malts, sweet molasses and then a tart tangerine bolt of lighting strikes down the experience. The flavor confirms this. I get big tartness from top to bottom. Mild malts follow but are only a shadow of flavors compared to the infected tartness. Pity. It seems like a good beer was in this bottle for a brief amount of time.

Courtesy of DragonStout. Pours black with creamy light brown head. The aroma is complex with oak notes up front then sweet malts, burnt malts, hints of blue veined cheese and faint alcohol. Yummy flavors. Rich smooth burnt to sweet maltiness followed by planks of oak. Nice combination. I get a faint bourbon β whiskey like note in the background. It ends with burnt flavors mixed with oakiness. I love the flavor mixture. Big bold and smooth.

a good pale ale. Strong hop aroma. Flavor has more hops but is well balanced by sweet malt. Good citrus character to this beer.

Deep opaque brown-black body, thin-medium ochre head. Aroma of burnt brown sugar and licorice, grape Dimetapp, very sweet, with hints of alcohol. Sweet, rich body dominated by milk chocolate with potent grape Dimetapp (fruity, medicinal) notes, toast, and a lasting, leafy, astringent bitterness to close out the palate. Thick, heavy body. Delivers a few strong notes, but not one of my favorite imperial stouts. I acquired an infected bottle in a trade, and Jim Wagner of Du Claw graciously replaced the bad bottle with this one. Jimβs a class act.

A thin tan head floats over this opaque black brew. There is a clean roasty aroma that carries a resemblence to espresso. The flavor is roasty though not burnt or bitter, yet this isnβt sweet either. To nit pick, Iβd like a bit more body here, but this is still quite quaffable.
