Got that dank hop aroma but the flavor is a bit more citrusy.

On tap at Craft Beer Co - Clerkenwell, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is rich, with tons of roasted malt, cocoa nibs, and some dark sugars. Flavour is very rich, with rich roasted malt, cocoa nibs, wood, and burnt dark sugars. Balanced well, with a roasty, chocolatey dry finish. Very good.

Keg at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden. Aroma is fruity with a resinous edge. Hazy pineapple yellow. Thick foamy white head - it's there 15 minutes later. Fruity with a creamy sugary porridge core. Added floral sweetness. Underlying savoury onion notes. Heavy bodied. Thick and creamy. Flat carbonation. Long slightly dry slightly astringent finish. Big DNEIPA... heading towards too big. Definitely not for people.who aren't keen on the style.

Pigs Ear. KeyKeg. Opaque dark brown black beer, small tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth dark malts, perhaps a tad thin. Smooth creamy dark chocolate, a tad thin but rich tasting. Touches of coffee and roast. Airy semi dry finish. Nice. It's hard to discern a palin old Impy these days, so many are barrel aged, and that really is not a complaint, the opposite in fact. But now and again, nice to taste a good plain Impy and this fits that bill.
