Draught keg at Sommar Leicester. Deep red and translucent with a pinkish white head. Raspberry in the aroma, some grassy character. Taste has got a lovely raspberry tang but it's far from sour. A bit one-dimensional in the mouth with a short finish. Watery body with carbonation on the heavy side. It's alright.

One-third, draught at Great Beyond Taproom. Shared with Finn. Black in the glass, remaining fawn-coloured head, clingy lacing. Earthy chocolate malt on the nose, inviting. Taste fine with nutty chocolate, earth, and a note of liquorice. Lightly roasted malty end, sweet and soft on the swallow. Pretty good. (Hoxton, London, 30.09.2023).

One-third, draught at Great Beyond Taproom. Shared with Finn. Stable fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass, pitch black in body appearance. Inviting smell of oatmeal and caramel. Fine blended taste of vanilla caramel, oatmeal, and a backdrop of coffee. Rounded aftertaste, smoothly roasted and not too sweet. Quite well bodied. Good drinking. (Hoxton, London, 30.09.2023).
