10 ounce at the brewery - served in a goblet - purple pour with a tan ring of lace - underlying dark fruit malt complexity is present but subservient to the complex yeast character - profile tastes a bit like the Westmalle yeast - super dusty, moderately peppery, earthy, just the slightest bit funky - mildly warming in the finish, but the alcohol is well-masked - soft and full in the mouth - been impressed with this series so far.

10 ounce at the brewery - clear gold, lively pour, lasting head - bone dry, lightly tart, medium to high bitterness - flinty, dusty, earthy - strong minerality - really good - I hope they bottle or can this, because I would pound it all day - put some brett in this and you’ll have something close to Orval.

12 oz. can. Black, with a big, rocky, tan head. The nose is walnut, maple syrup, baking cocoa, and caraway. Sweet and malty, with a burnt, sticky, quite bold bitterness. Heavy body, chewy, and dusty. Aggressive, dryer, and quality.

Can - dark brown pour with a sizable head - old-school American-style imperial stout along the lines of Old Rasputin - nose is chocolate, coffee, earthy malt, light smoke - medium-bodied - low carbonation makes for a lightly creamy texture - coffee, bright berry fruitiness, a touch of smoke - moderate bitterness arrives late - lingering coffee and earthy, mushroomy malt character - there really is a nice, earthy, medium-dry malt depth here that I appreciate - light alcohol warmth in the finish - I appreciate the restrain here.

Lots of Dupont vibes, TRVE has their saisons dialed in deliciousness. Soft Brett and hop notes.
