(Bottle 50 cl) Oettinger seems to brew each and every German style you can possibly think of, so of course there also had to be a Schwarzbier. Almost pitch black, but not completely opaque. Tall and handsome beige head that leaves a lacework. Very aromatic with notes of licorice and not quite as dry as the typical Schwarzes. Actually this is surprisingly soft and a positive surprise from Oettinger. 050200

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Malty nose with wet straw, biscuits and hops. Quite dry and bitter flavour with a dense hoppy taste and a grainy short finish.

Bottle. Aroma like cola, only with some citrus. Flavour also like cola, but less sweet. The colour is brown, head light brown and unstable. Slightly unpleasant, bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Aroma has a hint of hops. Golden colour, looking flat. Small, creamy, white head. Nicely hoppy flavour at first, also some creamy flavour. Low carbonation and nice mouthfeel. Aftertaste is mildly bitter. Surprisingly good beer.

Bottle. Faint, roasted aroma. Dark brown colour with a small light brown head. The flavour is nice, very chocolaty, with a hint of acidity in the aftertaste.

Bottle: Amber coloured, foamy white layer; very light malty aroma (hints of marzipan, hops, caramel); light bitter-sweet taste; some metallic notes in the shy bitter-sweet aftertaste; not really bad, but absolutely not refreshing; kind of bland and unharmonic.
