(bottle) Hazy brown color with a medium foamy off-white head. Shy malty and banana fruity aroma. Weak malty flavour and taste with traces of fruitiness and a boring short finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) This pilsner is golden with a rather good head. But extremely - almost numbingly - bitter. Too much of a good thing in my opinion, but apart from that an ok pils. Twist-off cap which is rather unusual for Germany. 040703

(Bottle 50 cl) Non alcoholic beers often gets this odd soft sweetness - and that’s indeed the case here. As a quencher this works perfectly, but as a beer it’s hard to respect because it completely lacks malt, bitterness and body. 150100

(Bottle 50 cl) Very hazy, orangey beer with a huge, white head. Loads of yeast-sediment. Very fresh with the typical fruity esters from the wheat. A very nice Hefeweizen indeed. Oettinger strikes again... 271299

(Bottle 50 cl) The "Urtyps" I’ve had before mostly were very straw-golden and rather bitter. On the other hand the Oettinger version is dark golden, rather light malt-character and some potent alcohol. The hops add more aroma than bitterness. A discount-beer of good quality. 161199

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark amber with a pretty head with good retention. Some maltiness with caramel-notes yet rather dry. No frills here but actually rather nice. 151199

(Bottle 50 cl) Oettinger pretty much brews every possible German beer type. Light brown, murky appearance, rather small head. Some vague wheaty notes with a slight sourness. Not bad, but definitely far from being a quality Dunkles Hefe. A bit boring. 141199

(Bottle 50 cl) Fresh, straw-golden pils. Pronounced bitter notes but not unpleasantly so. Decent cheap brand. 201099
