Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'REWE', best before January 2018. Clear, dark reddish amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a bit grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and some straw. Slightly sweet, malty, moderately grassy-spicy and minimally roasty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, straw and traces of grains, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry, quite grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pretty decent Alt actually, maybe the expectations were a bit too low.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from ’Rudat’, best before January 2018. Hazy, luscious orange with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, artificially fruity aroma of grapefruit and lemonade. Poured from 500mL can (labelled P: 02/02/2017; E: 02/04/2018). Hazy light golden orange with full white head. Yeast and banana with mild bread malt and very subtle hint of clove. Creamy texture to begin, but flavour dissipates a little quickly on the tongue.
