Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Tsingtao”) was established in 1903 by German and British merchants as Germania-Brauerei Tsingtao Co., Ltd. As one of the earliest breweries in China, Tsingtao is currently the sixth largest brewer in the world.

With more than a century of brewing excellence, we are now among the top Asian imported beer brand. We are also a Global Top 500 brand with a strong presence in more than 100 countries and regions.

In my opinion, it is not an interesting beer. It is a draft beer, low alcohol, grainy, no hop and mainly watery. The taste is really boring, buying in China and drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz in 2016.

It is a typical chinese beer, nothing special, poor taste of malt, no hop, mainly watery, yellow and transparent body, 23.06.16, drinking it during one of my last trip in China, to visit my father.

There is nothing special with this beer. The taste is boring, rice, no hop and mainly watery, the body is yellow transparent, 27.06.17

A quite light yellow beer and pretty small and white head. Aroma has light maltyness with fruitness of perries and honey. Taste has sharp maltyness with some fruitness. Light+ bodied. Easy, easy, easy.

Krystall golden med ikke eksisterende topp.
Aroma; malt, humle, eple, hint av karamell.
Smak; malt, eple syltetøy, høy, humle.

Søtlig pilsner. God i sommervarmen.

6/9/2025. Bottle from YoYo Oriental Lifestyle, London E1. Decent pour. Sweet, malty, grainy, metallic, cardboard aroma with some stewed veg coming through. Sweet taste, mild bitterness. Not much body. Not great.
