A straight forwars belgium strong ale. Alkohol overtones that carries coriander, yeast, suger and saaz. Nothing to write home about but nothing wrong either. The best thing is the grassy bitterness the lingers through all the way.

Draft @ Monks Porterhouse, Stockholm. Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head. Has a sweetish malty hoppy citrus aroma. Sweetish malty spicy hoppy bitter citrus flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy citrus finish.

Draught at Rådhuspladsen Randers. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. DArk yellow colour. heavy hoppy and moderate malty aroma. Moderate bitter nice flowery flavor. IPA significant. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Growler 200cl.Light light unclear medium to dark amber - red orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, toasted - caramel, sweet malt, sweet butter, butter. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, honey, malt. 0.33l 2010-bottle. A near clear copper body with a small bubbly and sidesticking just off-white head. It has a light sourness in the aroma, but also some candy sugar, bubblegum and both banana, Belgian yeast and strawberry-caramel tones. Not to Christmasy actually, but nice enough. Soft carbonation level and a mild oily mouthfeel. More bubblegum flavors, caramel, yeast and it ends really really mouthdrying. Glad I got the chance to try this one.

375 ml bottle @ The Rover on December 3. Sampled courtesy of Stefan K. Pours oily black with no head. Smells is big with lots of milk chocolate, liquorice, roasted malts and alcohol. Taste is roasted malts, alcohol, vanilla and sweet liquorice. Finish is dry with bitter chocolate. There’s no CO2 so bottle might be a bit bad.

Clear brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and butter. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. Something wasn’t quite right here. 291111. Is this beer not the same as Raasted Dunkel or did they just decide to make a beer called the same, in the same style and with the same ABV right after they merged? Hmmm.
