Ruby-dark amber color; generous head. Strange aroma, with some malt, hop, caramel, phenol, fudge. Not very strong body, but enough pleasant, with an extra light note of roasted barley. Dry ordinary palate, quite strong but not enough aromatic, with a touch of sourness. Not bad, but diminished by something chemical.

Bottled. Dark amber, smallish head. Flowery hop aroma with a hint of strawberries. Very malty, soft and sweet. Wonderfully deep malt character. Full flavoured with balanced bitter finish. This may well be Jämtlands best beer so far.

Beautiful dark amber color; creamy head. Delicate malt aroma; light roasted malt. Good malty body, strong but pretty dry. A bold bitterness, not really hop-aromatic. Drinkable, but among the Biblic ones I still prefer the Jämtlands Hell.

Dark amber, with red shades; thin collar. Big aroma: malt, roasted malt, porto wine, liquorice. Also very good body character, malt, roasted malt, some fruitness; well round. Finishes with a well hopped and roasted malt final. Really an interesting one.

Black with nice head. Dry and roasty with a nice citrusy hop aroma, and well balanced bitterness. Definitely one of Sweden's better beers.
The name has changed from Jämtlands Porter to Jämtlands Oatmeal Porter this autumn, as a result of the increased use of oats. The recipe change is however an always ongoing process, and the brewery carefull points out that it is not a new beer.

Dark red-amber color. Impressive aroma, a lot of malt and hop, reminding a barley wine. Dry taste, strong impact of hop, roasted malt and some malt and caramel. Final very strong, and of course really bitter (maybe a bit too much).
More aggressive than Jämtlands Postiljon.
A very good ESB, enough aromatic, with a good roasted malt character.

Brown-amber color; creamy head. Very nice hoppy aroma. Good hoppy taste, a bit malty, too much caramel.

Dark red-amber color, misty, nice head. Nice hop aroma, more equilibrate than Jämtlands Pilgrim Ale. Good mix of malt, roasted malt and hop; pretty dry, but less than Jämtlands Pilgrim Ale, also less strong final, anyway really good.

Golden colour, nice perlage. At first, a boring lager aroma, but just after a very nice hop aroma appears, improving every minute.
Very interesting flavor, quite rare for a bottled lager: dry but with a strong body; the first impression reveals the high hopping, only partially balanced by the malt, even of good quality. The palate is strong, far beyond the average, just too bitter in the (maybe a too long infusion), but the aromatic hop is remarkable, and the maltiness doesn't hide too fast.
I couldn't stop drinking stuff like this, till now one of the best Scandinavian I had.

Nut brown colour. Medium to small head. Wonderful aroma; hops, chocolate & caramell. I could sniff on this forever! Very bitter flavour, the chocolate turns up again in the finish. A decent beer, but it smells better than it tastes.
