Bottle from H.J. Hansen. Huge creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich coffee, chocolate, roast malt and hops, nuts and hops. Very smooth. Excellent stout.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and wheat as well as lighter notes of banana. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and wheat, but also lighter notes of corn and banana, leaidng to a dry wheaty finish. Boring.

Draft. A hazy light amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of hops on a lightly malty background. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, and grass as well as lighter notes of lemon and metal.

Pours very dark brown - fizzy, but fails to really kick up a head - kind of looks like cola - sweet aroma of burnt/caramelized sugars, dark chocolate, licorice, espresso - oily mouthfeel, medium-full carbonation - initially sweet flavor (chocolate) that quickly makes way for deep coffee roastiness and some anise notes - a touch of smoke - moderate bitterness from middle to finish, as some of the sweetness returns for some bittersweet chocolate character - surprising warmth in the finish for the abv - flavorful - nice.

Draught at Oggi’s, Sta. Clarita, CA. Nearly black, small head. Rich tarry coffee aroma, Fairly dry with solid body. Richly flavourful with plenty of tar, licorice and cofee. Long salty bitterness.

Draught at Oggi’s, Sta. Clarita, CA. Clear amber, small head Aroma of pine needles, resin and kumquat. Mid sweet with sold body. Flavour of caramel and salted kumquat. Heavily resiny bitterness. Edgy, but flavourful.
