Description
St. Peter's is an independent brewery founded in 1996 by John Murphy in former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter’s Hall in St Peter, South Elmham, near Bungay, Suffolk, England. Siting the brewery at St. Peter’s was ideal because of the excellent water quality from our own deep bore-hole. Locally malted barley is used, together with Kentish hops, to produce a range of classical beers (bitters, mild etc.) as well as some more unusual beers such as honey porter and fruit beer.

Fun fact: The oval shape of its signatory 500 ml bottle is based on an 18th-century gin bottle from Gibbstown, by the Delaware River near Philadelphia, USA.

Bottle from Morrisons Supermarket in Cromer. Drank unceremoniously from its distinctive bottle in the dark on a campsite in the seaside town. Subtle red ale, although has the characteristics and taste and pretty decent regardless.

Bottle from Roys Of Wroxham, Wroxham. Called The Saints Whisky Beer. Deeper golden colour, the whisky isn't particularly strong as a spirit might seem, not does it feel strong - it's just about the flavour. Nevertheless, it's the dominant taste and works well enough as a beer. Perhaps not a session brew though.

It’s on par with a Irish Guinness.

Bottle at home found in a weird shop in Norfolk. Great pour with a gorgeous rich colour in the glass. This is malt all the way with maybe a slight bitter hops lurking in the background. Loads going on for the abv.
