Bottle 50 cl. Cloudy, opaque orangey golden with a creamy and lacing, off-white head. Minerally nose, smell of vitamins. Light body, tart fruitiness and a slight yeastiness. No big banana and cloves notes, this is more to a dry and tart side. Interestingly different approach to a Hefeweizen. 181225

Bottle from our local, Gasthof zum Sonnewald Schöfweg and shared with Jonas and Ursula Friday 16th May 2025. Pours reddish brown with a mid sized off white head. Nice soft mouthfeel, a little bit sweet, wet woodiness, in fact quite a woody beer. A little bit of caramel, a bit of brown sugar, alcohol quite well hidden, nice.

Bottle shared at Gasthof zum Sonnenwald. Murky chestnut amber. Wood, moldy cork, wet damp sweetness. Nuts, creamy, soft, but a rather flat and long sweetness.

Bottle 757 at Gasthof zum Sonnenwald with Fin and Loz. Wooden, light cork aroma. Hay red amber, dark cream head. Medium full sweet, light fruity grain base, berries, light honey, light spice.

Bottle. Cloudy, amber brown. Really huge, long lasting head. Aroma was dried fruit, toasted grains. Taste was slightly sweet, roasted grains with a yeasty after taste.

Notes from September 2012 Bottle from New Beer. Supposedly dry hopped during the long trek across the water. Beaded, off white head. Foggy amber body. Smells starchy, caramelized, & maybe somewhat stale. Well it doesn't taste old. Just not very good. Doughy flavor. Metallic & grassy hops. Peppery. Tiny bit of fruity twang. Yeasty, dragging finish. Frothy, itchy body. I'm in the mood for a kellerbier now.
